Our journey commenced with a bustling sawmill operation, our parent company, initially focusing on lumber production and then evolving into wholesale logs. Recognizing the demand for superior quality log home packages, Merrimac Log Homes emerged, solidifying our position in the log home industry.

Jeff French, our current owner, was introduced to the family business at the young age of 15 years old. Working through the nights and spending his summers surrounded by the serene countryside, Jeff discovered his passion for log homes. Over the next decade, his role and responsibilities rapidly expanded, ultimately leading to his appointment as Vice President. Jeff's passion for log homes eventually led him to venture into constructing spec and luxury custom log homes, further enriching our industry expertise. Jeff responded to the familial call to return and helm Merrimac Log Homes. His dedication and leadership continue to guide us as we craft the narrative of nature through our log homes.
